Sometime last year I bought a soap making kit at Michael's. The molds had flat surfaces to accommodate rubberstamps. None of my stamps fit into the shapes of the molds. Then I got the idea to cut the rubberstamp to fit the molds. I rubber cemented the stamps to the bottom of the molds. The specks in the green soap is crushed dried mint. The pink soap has ginger, ground cloves allspice and nutmeg. Instead of artificial scents, the soap as a very natural smell.

My daughter, Krista, made these embossed candles for Christmas presents.  We heated the candles with an embossing gun, then stamped the image into the cooling wax.  She lightly sponged silver and gold paint with a makeup sponge.

We got the idea from the book, Rubber Stamp Extravaganza, page 86.   See the Reading List for details about the book.
