Blue and Yellow Don't Make
Green By Michael Wilcox
I have owned this book for
several years. Although I have always meant to take time to go through the
color exercises, I never seemed to make the time. I invite you to
you join me on my color journey.
There are approximately 50 color
exercises.

Paints Needed
I used Golden Fluid Paints for
my exercises. Although the book is specifically written for
watercolors, the author provide the necessary information to use other
brands and types of paint. The
paints I used for the exercises were Hansa yellow medium, Hansa yellow light,
Cadmuim red medium hue, Quinacridone red, Ultramarine blue, Cerulean blue
chromium, Phthalo blue (green shade), Phthalo green (blue shade), Yellow
ochre, Raw sienna, Burnt sienna, Titanium white and Titan buff. These
colors don't exactly match those specified in the book, but they were the
closest I could get with the Golden fluid paints.

| Printable
Template

|
I have made a template you may use as a worksheet for the
color exercises. I would recommend cardstock for the exercises. Your
printer must be a laser printer or use a photocopy. Inkjet copies may
bleed. If
your printer will not print on cardstock, you could print one page and have the
template photocopied onto cardstock. I plan to coil bind or 3-hole punch
my sheets into a notebook.
To print this template:
Your browser will print the page from my website and the date on
the page. I cannot control this, it is your computer setting causing it to
happen. If you do not want this on your worksheet, you will have to save
the target to your computer, and print the graphic with a graphic software if
you have it.
