Color Mixing Exercises
Exercises 14 - 19
Notes before you begin: I offer a few suggestions after
completing exercises 14 through 19.
The same issue with yellow reared its head. It will take a larger amount of the yellow to
get from the middle of the worksheet to the pure yellow on the left. But I
had to use several extra drops of yellow each time I moved to the left.
Definitely check your purple mix to the book to see if it is close. My
scans are not accurate, but the worksheets match the book (most of the time).
I didn't make tissue paper this time. I
like the compliments so well, I used the extra paint on a canvas board. I
did add white and titan buff to make a lighter background. Then used the
different shades and darks as accents. I plan to stamp and collage on
these for future artwork.
Some of the middle grays are so dark, I started
adding matte medium to the paint before I painted my stripe to the worksheet.
The
Color Index Name (CI number listed after the color) are as close as I could get
with the Golden Fluid paints. Not every color is available in the paint
yet. The book will help you identify the exact color if you are using
paints other than my color mixing set.
